This is the official Channel for UK based guitarist Jamie Humphries. Jamie began playing guitar at around the age of 5, and has work as a profesional session guitarists for around 15 years performing on TV sound tracks such as the BBC1 cartoon Freefonix, the BBC1 drama The Hustle, and the ITV drama The Fixer. His guitar playing has also been fearured on Sky Movies, 2006 World Cup, The Winter Olympics, plus countless other shows. He also performed on the UK Top 20 single Rocket by the Dance/Rock crossover outfit Braund Reynold, and was single of the week for two weeks running on Radio 1, reaching the A list play list. Jamie has also performed on T4's Pop World, and on CDUK with Ronan Keating. Jamie has written 3 books for Sanctuary Publishing, Giants of Rock, Giant of Metal, and Crash Couse..Electric Guitar...He also transcribed/recorded many of the highly acclaimed Total Accuracy Jam with books and CD's. He has a regular video column on www.licklibrary.com, and has over 50 instructional DVD's released by Lick Library. He has also held a teaching position for the last 10 years at the ACM, the UK premier contemporary music accademy. He has transcribed/recorded for Guitar Techniques Magazine for the past 12 years, and has also worked for Guitarists Magazine, Total Guitar Magazine, and Guitar World. Jamie has spent the last 3 years touring extensivly in the USA with the highly successfull Aussie Floyd show, and has played at such venues as the Greek Theatre in LA, The Bell Centre Montreal Canada, and London's Royal Albert Hall. He also performs regularly in London West End Queen Musical We Will Rock You, and also in Sweden in the Champions of Rock show. Last year he toured, althought cut short, with the Flashback Mystic Orchestra. Jamie has played clinics in the UK, USA and Japan, for Ernie Ball Musicman and Cornford amplifiers, and has performed with the likes of Vinnie Moore, Richie Kotzen, Pat Torpey, John Petrucci, Albert Lee, and Steve Lukather. Jamie uses and endorses Musicman Guitars, Ernie Ball strings, Blackstar amps, DiMarzio Pickups, cables and straps, MXR and Dunlop pedals, and dunlop picks. He also endorses Line 6 effects and Steinberg recording software. Jamie and his long time music partner Singer/Bassist Jason Campbell, and drummer Pete Riley, have just completed their debut album J, which features 10 tracks, a mixture of vocal and instrumental rock and fusion....The album includes a guest solo trade on the track Fubar with Richie Kotzen....So please check it out!!!

All Too Beautiful is an exhilarating, if infuriating, tale of Marriott’s chaotic lifestyle with a litany of relatives, ex-wives and partners recalling his menagerie of personalities and mood swings.

Unfortunately, this is a complex story of extraordinary talent, missed chances, exotic highs and frightening lows and yet Marriott’s determination to remain in control at all costs marks him out as a Mod maverick of the highest order. While his peers were consolidating their finances during the 1970s, Marriott was dangling between fame and destruction; arriving in limousines with Humble Pie one moment and filching potatoes from fields and hot wiring his cottage from a pylon the next. Ironically, the mans most settled period came towards the late 1980s, with a hectic tour of pubs and clubs before he tragically passed away in a house fire in 1991, before Brit Pop could fully canonise his influence.

This book succeeds as much as is possible in detailing Marriott’s brief but eventful tenure on planet Earth and yet even these 400 pages aren’t enough to penetrate the complex mysteries that went into making up Mods most complex creation.
