The Answer are four lads hailing from Downpatrick in Northern Ireland. Raised on a heady diet of Led Zeppelin, Free, The Who and The Black Crowes, The Answers contemporary take of bluesy, riff heavy hard rock is starting to turn heads. The band spent last year touring with Alterbridge, The Darkness, Deep Purple, Sound Explosion and The Tokyo Dragons and making their debut album. At a recent London gig none other than Jimmy Page stood and watched their set from side of stage and theyve already played at a Phil Lynott memorial benefit gig in Dublin as Lynotts mother is a big fan. So big in fact that she allowed Waters to be the first since Lynotts death to open his bass case and play the revered black iconic bass axe! Its the same black bass that appears in the video to Keep Believin. So the album is now due for release in Europe on June 26th, it will be called 'RISE'. It was recorded at Monnow Valley in Wales, Albert Studios in London and at the legendary Olympic Studios in Barnes. The band will be touring non stop for the rest of this year. They are looking forward to meeting you soon!

A 1960s VHS recording of a Led Zeppelin performance sealed the deal for musician/singer Kurtis Dengler. He used to watch the recording of the rock group at London's Royal Albert Hall over and over again -- the beginning of his love-affair with rock and roll.
Little did he know then that he would one day be playing his guitar on that same stage to a sold-out house. "I never even imagined watching a show at Royal Albert Hall and here I was on the stage," Dengler said of his recent tour with singing-superstar Paul Rodgers.
In October Dengler joined Rodgers for a two-week tour of England that included venues such as Sheffield City Hall, Colston Hall in Bristol, Nottingham Royal Concert Hall and, of course, Royal Albert Hall.
Rodgers, probably best known for his years as the lead singer of Free and Bad Company, as well as Queen, was looking for a guitar player to join his band for his upcoming solo tour. Dengler, known best as the Lopez Island group Electric Shades of Blue's [ESB] lead guitarist/singer, was asked if he was interested.
He jumped at the opportunity -- despite having only 10 days to prepare for rehearsals. "I had to bust out my Free CDs and just play along and learn the parts," he said of preparing for auditions. He would be playing songs such as "Feel Like Making Love," "Can't Get Enough" and "All Right Now."
Dengler then found himself in Kent rehearsing with the band. "I wasn't the only new kid," he said. Dengler was also auditioning with drummer Ryan Hoyle, of Collective Soul. After two days of rehearsals with the band, Dengler headed to Turtle Recording, a studio in White Rock, British Columbia, where he auditioned with Rodgers.
"That was really exciting for me," said Dengler, adding that he and ESB band mate Jacob Lundgren are Free fanatics. "Some of the songs we played with him were the first time he'd done the songs since Free," Dengler said. Free broke up in the 1970s.
Aside from the songs on the play list, Dengler also had the opportunity to work with the band on two new songs. "We were kind of just jamming," he said of the time spent in the studio. "I got to create with them."
Later that evening, after rehearsals, Rodgers asked Dengler if he wanted the two-week gig. "He was like, 'Well, you want the job'," said Dengler. "That was a really big deal for me."
Before the rehearsals, he had seen Rodgers just once in his life - when he and Lundgren watched Queen and Paul Rodgers play at the Hollywood Bowl. "Then the next time I see him, I'm there to play with him," said Dengler.
On Oct. 1 Dengler and his manager Chris Crawford (who also manages Rodgers) flew to London. Once there, Dengler got onto the band's double-decker tour bus, complete with plush leather seats, televisions, conference rooms and caters, and headed for the location of the next day's production rehearsals.
It was the beginning of an incredible two weeks of music and concerts, with thousands upon thousands of crazed Rodgers fans. The highlight of the trip for Dengler, however, was playing the Royal Albert Hall in London. For a rock and roll fanatic like Dengler, playing on the stage where the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan and many, many others once performed was a defining moment. "It's like the building is alive," the guitarist explained. "So much has happened there."
Touring wasn't a new experience for Dengler, who spent last summer touring blues festivals in the Northwest with his band ESB. But the the size and professionalism of the tour was definitely a change from the blues festivals he's previously played. "I've never been on a tour like that," he said. "It was a professional level deal - big sound, big lights."
Dengler also got a taste of what its like to be on tour with an extremely popular singer. "The crowds were so excited for Paul (Rodgers)," he said, adding the fans often waited around for hours after the show in hopes of catching a glimpse of the singer or getting an autograph. "His fans were so loyal."
While performing at Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow, Scotland, Rodgers' first solo DVD was recorded - which Dengler will be a part of. The DVD will be released sometime in February of 2007.
