October 1976 they were now one of the Worlds biggest rock bands and were playing to sell
out gigs across America.  On this tour they played to over a million fans at 52 concerts in 70 days.

They broke attendance records at
several massive venues in Florida and Alabama as well as selling out Madison Garden within a day!

Their first three albums had all reached platinum status. However it was only two and half years since

their first classic album “Bad Co” had been released and their rise to superstardom

had been one of the swiftest ever.

Was one of the contestants on American Idol 2006

This talented singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer started his musical career in 1984 in Chattanooga, Tennessee

. While he always loved music, it wasn’t until after college (where excelling in numerous sports had been his priority), that he began to seriously pursue music as a profession. Since then, he has been the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for several different bands including Alethea, Code Blue, The Toys, The Psychedelic Cowboys and most recently The David Brown Band; performing at hundreds of venues in the Atlanta, Nashville, Chattanooga areas; as well as opening for such renowned and diverse (as well as crowd- drawing) acts as Yes, Paul Rodgers (of Bad Company and Queen), Eddie Money, Johnny Van Zant, Starship, Atlanta Rhythm Section, just to name a few.

The Best Of The Best Air Guitar Albums In The World...Ever! on qen

Title: The Best Of The Best Air Guitar Albums In The World...Ever!
Format: 3 x CD Album
Release Date: 28/11/2005
Cat. No.: VTCD 759

Brian May has been diggin’ in the crates once more to compile another outstanding and epic volume of the monstrously
successful Air Guitar album series. For Best of Air Guitar, Lord May of Riffsville has pulled out all the stops and leant on a few
mates to secure the most heady line up yet...

Things begin with Queen (with Paul Rogers on vocals) and a barnstorming live performance of ‘Fat Bottomed Girls’ and continue
with the young pretenders to their metal-mantle, The Darkness and the kick-ass ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’... from here
on in it’s non-stop uber-riff mayhem with all the greatest, noisiest and guitar-est, laying down some heavy sounds for all your Air Guitar needs...

It would be a slight understatement to infer that Brian May’s involvement in this project has landed a dream line-up... have a look-see at these:
Van Halen - Ain't Talkin 'Bout Love, Kiss - Crazy Crazy Nights, Robert Palmer - Addicted To Love, Run DMC feat.
Aerosmith - Walk This Way, Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town, Pink Floyd - Money, Fleetwood Mac -
Shake Your Moneymaker, ZZ Top - Gimme All Your Lovin', Iron Maiden - Run To The Hills, Free - All Right Now,
Black Sabbath - Paranoid, David Bowie - The Jean Genie...

This massive 3x CD set really does leave nothing to chance.... your inner Air Guitar hero will be exposed,
I mean, if none of the above reveal your evil axe wielding alter-ego, these will: Motorhead - Ace Of Spades, The Kinks - You Really Got Me,
Bad Company - Feel Like Makin' Love, Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water, Rainbow - Since You've Been Gone,
Cream - Sunshine Of Your Love, Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird, Dire Straits - Sultans Of Swing or The Troggs - Wild Thing...

There’s many more - Levi’s ad-heroes Stiltskin & the excellent ‘Inside’, Britpop’s biggest riff by Blur
(Song 2), Peel’s fave by The Undertones - Teenage Kicks, the much-better-than-you-think-they-are Status Quo -
Whatever You Want & the easy riding Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild... TWANG!

It’s a great album, put together by a man who knows his onions (and then some...) and the album ends as it began,
with the mighty Queen and their all conquering single ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.

QUEEN & RODGERS: To the Studio?

Queen and Paul Rodgers wrapped up their 23-city North American tour Thursday ) in Vancouver, Canada.

Queen will now focus their attention on more productions of their musical, We Will Rock You,
and Rodgers tells us he'd like to do a solo album in addition to dates he has booked in May, June and July
But they all agree that they may enter a studio to record a few songs. Guitarist Brian May tells us, "I think kicking some
stuff around would be a lot of fun. Rodgers agrees, saying, "It might be good just to record a couple of tracks
and see how that flies."  Rodgers has a new song, "Take Love," which they did on the tour, and
drummer Roger Taylor also has some new songs. Some people thought that Queen was going to
perform on American Idol this week. That was not the case.
The band backed the contestants during rehearsals earlier in the month in Anaheim, California.
On his website [BrianMay.com], the guitarist writes, "We only wanted to do the coaching thing,
to give as much as we could to the participants -- not go into the T-V studio and 'advertise' ourselves.
I'm happy about that decision." Next week the contestants will sing the songs of Rod Stewart,
and Stewart will be on hand to give them advice on Tuesday's show. He will perform on the FOX show on Wednesday.
Earlier this week Queen released a new best-of called Stone Cold Classics, which includes
two songs with Rodgers  They also have a collection of videos available on I-Tunes.

Kornerstoned The Alexis Korner Anthology – 1954-1983

.

(Noble PR) Castle Music is delighted to announce the May 1st, 2006 double disc album release of Kornerstoned: The Alexis Korner Anthology – 1954-1983, a deluxe slip cased set laced with copious rarities and material which debuts on CD for the very first time.

Alexis Korner’s role in the development of UK Blues, R&B and Rock cannot be overstated, and this set pays homage to the great musician. Featured sidemen/guests include Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Paul Rodgers, Chris Farlowe, Davy Graham, Long John Baldry, Robert Plant, Cyril Davies, Peter Thorup, Zoot Money, Duffy Power, Dick Heckstall-Smith & many more.

For the collector, the album inlay also features photo’s & memorabilia drawn from Alexis’ family’s archives, with comprehensive liner notes by Neil ‘Mr Blues’ Slaven.

Kornerstoned is the first in a series of a major reissue programme from Sanctuary Records; the Korner catalogue has recently been acquired by the label, with all those really rare albums (e.g. Blues From The Roundhouse, R&B From The Marquee, At The Cavern and Sky High) remastered with bonus tracks, which will start following later this year. The Korner range will be stickered with the “Godfather Of British Blues” icon, which will appear on all forthcoming Alexis Korner output.

KING KARMA

KING KARMA Rock and roll used to be about plugging in, turning up and letting go, but as rock has aged and changed that simple formula seems to have been forgotten for the most part. Unless you ask KING KARMA, a band fast becoming one of the most talked about new groups in the current resurgence of rock music!

Built upon the solid foundations provided by rhythm section TODD RONNING (bass) and RICK FEDYK (drums), KING KARMA's music is a gorgeous amalgamation of hard rock guitar riffs and introspective acoustic passages. Guitarist, MARKUS WOLFE succeeds, where many more famous names have failed, in that he plays with true feel and purely for the song, rather than simply to show his undoubted technical ability. To round out the line-up there's vocalist SHAUN WILLIAMSON, a man with more soul and raw emotion in his voice than a recording studio full of Boy Band Wannabes and Pop Idol hopefuls.

THE JONES GANG

Speaking of Kenny Jones

What Next for the Mod that time forgot..following  from Soundgarden :

"Small Faces musical to hit London's West End    31 Mar 2006

"All To Beautiful" to chart their career through music.

Influential 60's rockers Small Faces are moving from Itchycoo Park
to London's West End with a new musical based on their career.

The band - ranked alongside the Who throughout the 60's as the
quintessential mod band, and best remembered for their psychedelic
rock n' roll masterpieces "Itchycoo Park" and "Tin Soldier" - will
retell their story with "All Too Beautiful".

Set to bow this summer, it followed the massive success of
Queen's "We Will Rock You", and is being penned by original
bandmember Kenny Jones and actress Carol Harrison.

"It's about their meteoric rise to fame and how fame can be
destructive," Harrison to press. "There's a meaty story to be told
and it won't shy away from the dark side of success. Not least the
fact that they got paid a fraction of what they earned. By the time
they did get what was rightly theirs, two of the band where dead."

"But it won't be all sad," he adds. "There will be a lot of humour in it."
